Prithviraj Sukumaran’s much-awaited first-look poster from the movie Salaar was revealed by the makers on the occasion of the actor’s 41st birthday.

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is celebrating his 41st birthday today, October 16 and to make his day grander the makers of the highly anticipated film Salaar, have unveiled the first-look poster of the actor, igniting excitement among the fans. The poster offers a glimpse of Prithviraj’s character in the film.
The Prashant Neel directorial has Prabhas in the lead role. The film is scheduled to release in two parts. The first installment, titled Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. Alongside Prabhas, the film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan in lead roles.

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s first look poster released

On October 16, the makers of the high-budget action film took to their social media to share their heartfelt wishes to Prithviraj by sharing the first-look poster of the actor on his special day. The actor plays the lead antagonist in the action thriller. The film is also called ‘the most awaited film of the year’ and is all set to release on December 22.

His new feisty avatar gives a chaotic yet calm appeal which compliments the colour tone of his clothes and the background of black and grey. The actor could be seen wearing a septum ring and a scarf accompanied by a black tilak on his forehead giving a more grand yet scary look to his character.

The actor will be playing the character Vardharaja Mannar in the upcoming film and fans are excited to see Prithviraj in this new avatar.  Sharing the post on X, the production banner, Hombale Films wrote, “Wishing ‘???????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????’ ???????????? ???????????????? @PrithviOfficial, a majestic birthday.”

As soon as the makers shared the birthday post, Prithviraj thanked the team of Salaar for their warm wishes, and responding to it, he tweeted, “Thank you Hombale Films, Prashanth Neel, Prabhas and the entire team of Salaar! Cannot wait for the world to see this epic! “

As soon as Prithviraj shared the post on his social media handles, fans flooded the comment section with enthusiastic comments expressing their love for the actor and anticipation regarding the film’s release.

Team L2E wishes Prithviraj

On the actor’s special day, even team Empuraan came forward with a special birthday wish for the actor and filmmaker. The crew members of the project along with Superstar Mohanlal prepared a special video to wish their director on his special day. Apart from Mohanlal, Antony Permbavur, Murali Gopi, Deepak Dev, and Sujit Vasudev are seen in the video.

More about Salaar

The film is made under the banner of Hombale Films and helmed by KGF fame Prashant Neel. Apart from the lead actors, the film features Tinnu Anand, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju in pivotal roles. The film has Bhuvan Gowda as the cinematographer and Ravi Basrur scoring the music.

For the unversed, Salaar was originally scheduled to be released on April 14 this year, but the production work took longer to finish and delayed the release. The film will now hit the theatres on December 22, 2023.

Prithviraj’s upcoming projects

Prithviraj is currently in Ladakh filming L2E: Empuraan which is a sequel to his directorial debut, Lucifer, starring Mohanlal. The filming was put on hold due to Prithviraj suffering an injury. Now the actor has recovered and is back doing what he enjoys doing the most.
Apart from this, Prithviraj will also be seen in Aadujeevitham, Vilayath Buddha, and Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil which are in various stages of making.
