Rahul Gandhi Accuses BJP of Failing to Protect Soldiers, Families from Terror Attacks

Rahul Gandhi, a Congress MP, has condemned the Doda terror attack and stated that the “demand of every patriotic Indian” is to take action against such attacks. Gandhi paid tribute to the four soldiers killed in the encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda, and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.

Gandhi criticized the central government, alleging that the “continuous terrorist attacks are revealing the poor condition of Jammu and Kashmir” and that “our soldiers and their families are bearing the impact of the BJP’s wrong policies. Recalibration in Security Strategy

The Congress party president, Mallikarjun Kharge, also questioned the government’s response, stating that it is “acting as if everything is ‘business as usual’ and nothing has changed.” Kharge called for a “careful recalibration in our security strategy” to address the “spate of terror attacks” in the region.

Another Congress MP, Jairam Ramesh, pointed out that there have been 11 terror attacks in Jammu alone in the last 78 days, a “wholly new development,” and questioned the government’s claims about its handling of the situation.

The Doda encounter resulted in the deaths of four Army personnel, including an officer. The Indian Army chief, General Upendra Dwivedi, briefed the Defense Minister, Rajnath Singh, on the incident.
