Rahul Gandhi referred Hindu followers to be ‘violent’
The showdown between Rahul Gandhi and PM Modi created a stir in Parliament on Monday, July 1. Rahul Gandhi criticized the RSS and BJP for not embodying true Hindu values, resorting to violence, hatred, and falsehoods.
The Congress leader mentioned that BJP and RSS, who claim to be Hindu followers, talk about violence and ‘untruth’.
Narendra Modi dealt with the accusation by Rahul Gandhi
In contrast, Modi highlighted the seriousness of labelling the entire Hindu community as violent. In response, Rahul Gandhi emphasized that Narendra Modi, BJP, and RSS do not represent the entire Hindu community. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, called for an apology from Rahul.
Gandhi’s strong criticism of the government led Modi to speak up twice, accusing him of labelling the entire Hindu community as violent. Modi emphasized the seriousness of this accusation. In his second intervention, Modi mentioned that the Indian Constitution taught him to respect the Leader of Opposition.
Amit Shah seeked apology from Rahul Gandhi
Following the Prime Minister’s sharp response, during which Mr. Gandhi exclaimed that Modi ji, BJP, and RSS do not represent the entire Hindu community, Mr. Shah stepped forward.
He mentioned that the Leader of the Opposition claimed that those who identify as Hindu speak of violence. He asserted that Rahul Gandhi is unaware that millions proudly identify as Hindu and associating violence with any religion is incorrect.
Amit Shah demanded Gandhi to say sorry.
Gandhi made it clear that BJP and Modi do not speak for all Hindus.

During his talk, Gandhi displayed an image of Lord Shiva, leading Speaker Om Birla to point out that regulations prohibit showing signs in the House.
Gandhi emphasized that all faiths, such as Islam and Sikhism, highlight bravery and the significance of fearlessness.
Rahul Gandhi pointed towards MPs from the ruling alliance and stated that those who profess to be Hindus engage in violence, hatred, and falsehoods around the clock. Despite the uproar from the ruling alliance, he emphasized that our nation stands for peace and does not stand for fear.
He further added that our founding leaders all advocated peace and eliminating fear. Similarly, even Lord Shiva preaches the same message. Creating a contrast he mentioned that those who claim to be Hindus practice violence, hatred, and lies. He said that the Hindu religion teaches us to stand by the truth, not be afraid of it, and that peace is inherent in our nature.
Rahul Gandhi mentioned Guru Nanak ji, Jesus Christ, Lord Buddha, and Lord Mahavir, stating that the Abhay Mudra symbolizes the next phase in the evolution of the concept of confronting the truth, fearlessness, and non-violence. He said that merely embracing these principles and conquering fear internally is insufficient; it is equally crucial to empower others to adopt fearlessness and non-violence.
He also highlighted that all faiths advocate courage and displayed an image of a Muslim prayer. Quoting a verse from the Quran, Rahul Gandhi pointed out that even Islam encourages people not to succumb to fear.
He also poked fun at PM Modi’s statement about not being biological. He said that the Prime Minister supposedly has a direct line to God, unlike the rest of us mere mortals who are biological beings. Rahul Gandhi remarked that we are born, we die, but the PM is apparently non-biological.
The Congress leader also mocked Modi for claiming that the world learned about Mahatma Gandhi through a movie. While shaking hands with Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad, Rahul Gandhi mentioned that the people of Ayodhya had chosen him to represent them in Parliament.
