Finally a formidable entry of Ranbir Kapoor after five years, Animal hit theatres in the first week with a commendable box office collection of Rs. 563.3cr. And now conquering the box office with thunderous records on the 10th day with a worldwide gross of Rs. 717.46cr
Success Party of Animal
On December 1, RK’s blockbuster movie Animal was released with a bang and its worldwide gross was Rs. 116cr in one day. Sandeep Reddy Vanga also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Babloo and South’s sensation Mandana. T-Series Films, Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios are the production companies of this movie. In this movie, Ranbir and Tripti Dimri are shown in intimate age-restricted scenes and Ranbir Kapoor is seen in a magnificent wild look that stole his fans’ hearts but netizens criticized his look and adult scenes.
Till now Animal is considered as the 4th highest box office collection of Bollywood in 2023. The stars had already celebrated their success party and in this party, Bobby gets emotional by receiving so much love and praise from the audience, this video also went viral on the internet.
Ram Gopal Verma, Allu Arjun also posted their reviews on Twitter, and Animal became the recent talk of the town nowadays.
Outpacing box office of “Sanju”
One of the greatest successes of RK is Sanju which makes Rs. 586.85cr in total but Animal will outpace this record probably in some days.
In the year 2018, Sanju was screened and had a huge success and after that Shamshera was released in 2022 compared with a huge flop, which grossed Rs. 63.58cr worldwide. In 2022, his biggest success was Brahmastra, where he shared his screen with her star wife Alia Bhatt and the audience eagerly awaited Ayan Mukherjee’s masterpiece, which crossed all margins and earned Rs.431cr. Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar was his first movie in 2023, which received a mixed review and collected Rs.220.10cr.
Saying adieu to all his records, Animal became the best advance gift of RK’s Christmas. Outpacing his own blockbuster, Ranbir has become the center of attraction. Within 2 days it crossed Rs. 236cr, which has been called a big-time hit.
Anurag Kashyap’s View
After getting so much admiration, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal was criticized by Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. In an interview, this great filmmaker spoke about this movie and its star that working with RK wouldn’t be a great idea for him.
Anurag explained, “when you work with a star, you have to cater to these fans. Some filmmakers have this skill-set. I don’t”. He also said that everyone wants to work with such big actors but he needs a lot of time to understand that he doesn’t have such potential to make a blockbuster, and stars and filmmakers both get abused when they try to experiment.
In a recent interview, he expressed his opinion and also said he hasn’t watched this movie yet but criticized the movie by saying that this movie contains toxic masculinity.
On day 11, RK’s movie faces a big dropdown
In spite of getting criticism, the movie Animal runs crazily worldwide and has received so much love from the audience, now it’s in the second week it already rocks but on Monday, 11th December, Animal is slowly down steaming with the lowest single-day collection.
From collecting above Rs. 100cr per 3 days, it comes to above Rs. 30cr per day. But where its success is going with a flow, on the 11th day it collects the lowest haul of Rs. 9.14cr. RK’s movie Animal collected Rs. 440.41cr in India, though it received Rs. 717.46cr worldwide and made a place in the fans’ hearts.
