The Twists and Turns in Renuka Swamy murder case

Darshan was taken into custody from his Mysore farmhouse earlier today and taken to the Kamakshipalya police station in Bengaluru.

A video that went viral online shortly after Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was detained in relation to the Renuka Swamy murder case is probably going to cause the actor more problems. In a video that Karnataka police published on Tuesday afternoon, Darshan’s automobile is said to have been spotted close to the location where Renuka’s corpse was disposed of.

The CCTV footage dates to June 9, 2024, early in the morning. The video shows a Scorpio vehicle that is purported to contain both Renuka’s body and the close aides of Darshan. This is supposedly the vehicle that was supposed to dispose of the deceased. Additionally, an automobile that purportedly belongs to Darshan is shown in the footage. It’s still unclear, though, whether or not the actor was inside the vehicle at that moment.

For the uninitiated, on June 8, 2024, Renuka Swamy was discovered dead near Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru. He allegedly used to work at a Chitradurga location of Apollo Pharmacy. Renuka used to send lewd messages to Darshan’s friend Pavithra Gowad, according to police officials. Enraged by this, Renuka Swamy was killed, and it is said that his corpse was dumped in front of Darshan in a canal at Kamaksshipalya, Bengaluru.

Eight of the accused have said that Darshan was present when Renuka Swamy was assaulted, implicating him. It is said that the victim was fatally injured with a wooden log. The murderers had planned to dump the body in the Vrushabhavati valley, but it turned up stranded and being messed with by dogs. On June 8, the first case involving an unidentified body was filed.

Darshan was taken into custody earlier today from his Mysore farmhouse and taken to the Kamakshipalya police station in Bengaluru to be looked into further. Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda was also taken into custody in connection with the crime later that day. She and Darshan are frequently connected. When Pavithra posted a video on social media in January of this year, hinting to their relationship, everyone was taken aback.
