The love story between Ryu Jun-yeol and Lee Hye-ri, once on-screen partners in “Reply 1988,” has officially come to an end, as verified by their individual agencies. The 37-year-old actor and the 29-year-old actress, who initiated their relationship in late 2016 following their collaboration on the acclaimed 2015 K-drama “Reply 1988,” have now parted ways.

The individuals who played the roles of Sung Deok-sun and Kim Jung Hwan, respectively, have recently ended their romantic relationship. Reports on November 13 unveiled that the actors deliberated extensively on their choice and decided to continue their professional association while offering each other support.

The romantic involvement of the two celebrities was initially acknowledged in March 2017, following the publication of photos by South Korean media capturing them on an enchanting riverside outing. Even prior to the official confirmation, fans enthusiastically supported the couple, drawn to their remarkable on-screen chemistry in Reply 1988. The palpable tension between the actors, appreciated by the show’s viewers, turned the real-life disclosure of their relationship into a joyous occasion for fans.
