The currently airing television serial Anupamaa is now under the off-screen controversy in which the lead actors Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey are rumored to be in a rift. The hype arose when the lead actor Rupali Ganguly who portrays Anupamaa character posted something enigmatic on her social media and fans and the media immediately started speculating whether this was directed at the rumored feud between Rupali and Sudhanshu Pandey, the actor who plays Vanraj Shah opposite Rupali’s character.
Rupali’s post was general but when she said something about having strength in the face of adversity, it is enough to bat an eye. Though, she did not speak Sudhanshu’s or the show’s name directly, owing to the timing of the post and in light of the on-going rumours, many deduced that the post was her indirect revenge for the speculated off-screen problems.
It is not the first time when rumors concerning absence of certain harmony between the two actors appeared. Because Anupamaa frequently demands the actors’ passion and dramatic performance, such rumours should not be shockingly unbelievable. But both Rupali and Sudhanshu has, in the past, kept a professional decorum in their relationship, and have not mixed the personal and the official sphere.
The fact that two of the main characters on the show are rumored to have had a falling out has of course raised eyebrows among fans of the show who have expressed their apprehensions on how this could impact on the chemistry on the show which has always been a major pull factor. Anupamaa has interesting plot about relations and inner feelings which come to live and depends mostly on actors and their chemistry between Rupali & Sudhanshu.
Nevertheless, it is pertinent to understand that in the entertainment industry rumors are abundant, and most of them are not necessarily true. Rupali and Sudhanshu have not talked about the fact and what they both want in public hence much as speculation. The actors have maintained strict radio silence while Rupali’s Instagram story, which simply reads ‘Caught a good vibe today’ has only fuelled the gossip.
At the time of writing this, fans are just able to sit and watch how this off-screen story will play out, hoping that on-screen show will not suffer at the hands of the actors’ personal issues. However, Anupamaa remains to be one of the highly favoured shows and the viewers are interested in the behind and in front camera stories.
