The box office will witness a big clash in December 2023 between ‘Salaar’ and ‘Dunki’.
The release date of Dunki was announced last year whereas the makers of Salaar made a big announcement of a revised release date for the movie.
Both the movies are slated to be released on 22nd December 2023 before Christmas Eve.
Fan wars have already begun all over the social media which hints that both movies will be affected in terms of box office collection.
Salaar : Part 1 – Ceasefire
Salaar : Part 1 – Ceasefire is an upcoming Action- Thriller film featuring actor Prabhas in the lead role. The movie was initially announced in December 2020 and is written and directed by Prashanth Neel. It is the first Telugu venture of Neel and also the first collaboration of Prabhas and Neel.
On speaking about his role, Actor Prabhas said, “My character is extremely violent, so this is something I haven’t really done before.” The statement gave hints that Salaar will deliver Action packed and violent sequences.

The film stars Prabhas, Shruti Haasan as ‘Aadya’, Prithviraj Sukumaran as “Vardharaja Mannaar”, Jagapathi Babu as “Raja Mannaar” and other actors such as Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and Saptagiri.
Teaser And Releases
Earlier it was announced that the movie will be released on 14th April 2021 but was postponed due to the release of Yash’s K.G.F : Chapter 2 which hit the screens on that Date and later was further delayed due to Covid- 19 Pandemic.
The teaser was officially released on 6th July 2023 which gained over 83 million views in the first 24 hours.
In August 2023 it was announced that the movie will release on 28th September 2023 but is postponed to 22nd December clashing with SRK’s Dunki.
About ‘Dunki”
Dunki (Donkey Flight) is an upcoming Social comedy- Drama movie about “Donkey Flight), which means illegal entry or immigration. The name ‘Dunki’ refers to the long donkey-like walks by immigrants. Dunki will reportedly depict the Indians using a backdoor to enter nations.
The movie is co-written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani who is very famous for movies like 3 idiots, Munna Bhai MBBS and the sequel Lage Raho Munna Bhai.
The movie is produced by Gauri Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Jyoti Deshpande under Red Chillies Entertainment.

The film stars Shah Rukh Khan , Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, Boman Irani, Dharmendra and actor Vicky Kausal in a cameo appearance.
Release
Dunki’s title was announced on 19th April 2022 and the movie is scheduled to hit the screens on 22nd December and the teaser is expected to release with Salman Khan’s Upcoming Tiger 3.
Salaar Vs Dunki
After Hombale Films announced the revised release date of Salaar, fans are excited to see the clash between Salaar and Dunki. Prabhas’ Salaar will deliver action packed visuals and SRK’s Dunki will make the audience laugh while depicting the illegal Immigrants.
After the success of Pathaan and Jawan, there will be much hype for Dunki whereas the reports of Yash making a Cameo in Salaar is creating a lot of buzz for Salaar.
It’s possible that the box office will witness an opening collection of over 200 crores,
and will be a treat to all the fans during the Christmas period.
