Before Christmas Eve Bollywood and Kollywood gave two gifts to millions of audiences; Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’s Salaar, which one will broke the box office records.
Salaar vs Dunki: advance bookings
Today 22 December is the release date of Salaar and yesterday 21 December Dunki was already released in the theatre. The fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas are excited to see them in the movies and Salar’s fans outpaces the record of Dunki’s advance booking.
According ti Sacnilk Salaar movie records with Rs. 48.94 cr of advance booking, where Dunki’s first day advance booking was 15.41 cr. As per reports more than 22 lakhs of tickets sold for Salaar, where approx 17 lakhs tickets were sold in Telugu shows only. Dunki’s first day box office collection is around Rs. 30 crores in India but the expected box office collection of Salaar is almost Rs. 95 crore in India.
Considering the advance booking clearly we have an expected winner in the box office collection race. Though the result can change any time, it is the biggest clash of the year-end.

On 21 December 2023, Rajkumar Hirani’s film Dunki was released which was produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Rajkumar Hirani Films and Jio Studios and it casted Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and many more along with SRK. Though this movie of SRK’s lowest opening of this year is a 120 crore budget film definitely made a profit but time will tell if it is a big hit or not.
Predictions about Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire
On 22 December 2023, basically today Prabhas’s movie Salaar was released. After bollywood film Adipurush it’s Prabhas’s second film of this year. This Om Raut’s film was released 16 june, 2023 which earned about Rs. 393 crore worldwide and its production budget was Rs. 500 cr – Rs. 700 crore, so it could be considered as a flop.
Every flop rises with a hit especially a star like Prabhas; Prasanth Neel’s film Salaar produced by Vijay Kiragandur casted Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu along with superstar Prabhas. Already this movie gained praise from the audience but now let’s see after watching the movie whether the audience love it or not.
