Actor Sanjay Dutt recently took to his social media platform to share a promo of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail, where he also mentioned Munna Bhai.
Sanjay Dutt is one of the most prolific and successful actors in the Indian film industry. He has been a fan favorite due to his charismatic screen presence and an aura that is unmatchable. Sanjay is highly remembered for his iconic roles in movies like Khal Nayak, Vaastav: The Reality, and Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.
One of the most iconic characters of his career is of a soft-hearted Gangster named Munna Bhai who loved to give everyone ‘Jaadu Ki Jhappi’ spreading smiles around him. He played the character in two successful films, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. in 2003 and Lage Raho Munna Bhai in 2006.
The movies were huge fan favourites and since then everyone has been waiting for any news regarding the third installment. Despite all the speculations over the internet, there has been no update about the same until recently when Sanju Baba mentioned it in a social media post.
Sanjay Dutt says he is waiting for the movie just like the fans
Sanjay Dutt has recently spoken about the third installment of the Munna Bhai series. The actor took his social media and dropped the promo video of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s upcoming directorial 12th Fail.
But what caught everyone’s attention was the caption to the promo, where he not just congratulated the makers but also mentioned Munna Bhai. Sanjay Dutt wrote, “Film looking great sirji, praying it’s a winner, all the best, now waiting for Munna bhai”

Vidhu Vinod Chopra served as the producer of both installments of the franchise. The film was directed by Rajkumar Hirani and Sanjay Dutt’s role in both movies was remarkable.
Arshad Warsi on Munna Bhai 3
Arshad Warsi who played the character of Circuit alongside Sanjay Dutt in Munna bhai M.B.B.S, also received huge appreciation for his role.
In an interview with India Today in July, Arshad confirmed that Munna Bhai might not be happening shattering the expectations of every fan. The actor said, “Munna Bhai may not happen. This is the weirdest thing. We have a director who wants to make it, a producer who wants to produce it, an audience who wants to see it, actors who want to act in it and still it is not happening.”
Arshad says that Rajkumar Hirani is an insane perfectionist. He will never make a film until he is sure about the script. He adds that there are 3 scripts ready but there are some issues regarding it and Rajkumar Hirani is someone who will never start a project until he is 100-200 percent sure about the script.
Arshad says that when they have a clear script only then will Hirani start with the project.
Munna Bhai and Circuit’s recent viral video
In a recent video that went viral, actors Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi were seen dressed as Munna Bhai and Circuit.
In the video, we could see Sanjay Dutt reaching a set with the Munna Bhai director Rajkumar Hirani while the title track of Munna Bhai was being played in the background. Hirani could be heard saying, “Ahh, Munna is back!”
Later we could see Arshad dressed as Circuit entering the set and greeting everyone. And in the last part of the viral clip, Hirani says, “And we are back”. Everyone started assuming that the viral video would be from the shoot of Munna Bhai 3 but it later turned out that the trio had reunited for an advertisement shoot.
