PM Modi’s tribute to Sardar Patel on his 148 th Birth Anniversary

Sardar patel birth anniversary is observed on 31st October every year in India and this day is celebrated as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’. This  Tuesday, many dignitaries offered their tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 148th birth anniversary.

To pay his tribute to the Iron Man of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished the country on his birth anniversary and remembered the deed that sardar Patel had done in national interest if this country and PM emphasised that Sardar Patel’s commitment to work for national integration continues to guide each and every citizen of this country even in present times.

PM Modi’s tribute to Sardar Patel

On social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), PM Narendra Modi posted on his birth anniversary, hailing his efforts as visionary statesmanship and for his dedicated nature to shape the national interest and integration of the country at the time of independence and after.

To celebrate the day and mark his tribute, PM also attended a special event at Kevadia, Gujarat where the Patel’s Statue of Unity is located and it is also the world’s tallest statue in present time. He attended a daredevil stunt performed by the CRPF’s women personnel at the site. The CRPF force was formed due to the vision of Patel as he is also regarded as the founder of CRPF.

Initiation of ‘Run for Unity’ event 

To mark the importance of this day, another special event was also performed at New Delhi’s Patel Chowk where floral tribute was paid to the statue of Vallabhbhai Patel by President Draupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar and the Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Amit Shah also flagged off the ‘Run for Unity’ from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi to celebrate ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ and this was further followed by the Unity Oath taking ceremony. Amit Shah while recalling the contributions of Vallabhbhai Patel said that he is the real reason for a United India, owing to the role he played as first Home Minister to bring together all the provinces that were split by the Britishers during their rule in India.

Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh also attended the ‘Run for Unity’ rally initiated in Utter Pradesh and he announced the launch of ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ by PM. where people will get a chance and the platform to work for nation building.

Tribute to Sardar Patel was also paid by the current Congress President, Mallikarjun Kharge. Remembering his contributions on his 148th birth anniversary, Congress president said that Sardar Patel united the entire country together with unity and integrity.and in a true sense the ironman of India.

Many other minister paid their tribute to Patel on his birth anniversary today, including Union Minister Dharmendra Prdhan who attend the similar event for ‘Run for Unity’ in Cuttack, Odisha and hailed diversity of India and peace and harmony as India’s Manta.CM of Goa, Pramod Sawant was also seen flagging off the ‘Run for Unity’ event in Goa.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played an exceptionally important role in India’s freedom movement and showed his true statesmanship during the integration process of Princely states into the Union Of India due to which India emerged and stood united even in present times and he never compromised with his ‘ Nation First’ philosophy.
