Severe Unrest In Russia as Ukraine Advanced in 1000 sq km of Russian Territory

The senior commander affirmed that the Ukrainian army took control of more than 1000 sq km of Russian territory. The Russia-Ukraine war is taking a serious reversal as Ukraine invaded Russia a few days back.  The Kursk region of Russia was invaded. This Ukrainian invasion is the largest and most rigorous cross-border penetration occurring throughout the two-and-a-half years of comprehensive war. 

The Casualties of Ukrainian Incursion

Ukrainian troops have invaded close to the villages of Tolpino and Obshchy Kolodez. An emergency was declared by the Russian authorities on the border area, and more than 59,000 people have been ordered to leave these western Russian towns. Unrest settled in the Russian territory as several people have been evacuated to different regions for their safety from the incursion.

The local governor stated that the circumstances in Russia remain strenuous. The Ukrainian soldiers through this invasion seized control of about 28 villages in the western Russian area, in the process, the troops killed more than 12 civilians.

The unexpected offensive started last Tuesday by Ukrainian forces. They advanced towards the western side of Russia up to 30 km (18 miles) into Russian territory.  However, some alleged that the sudden invasion has raised the Ukrainian power structure, however, political analysts suggest that this fresh power attack can cause Ukraine a greater loss and evident risk for the country.  According to various officials, this invasion will fuel the anger of Moscow officials over this intrusion,  and as a result, they will counterattack in Ukraine, which may lead to greater destruction in the civilisation and infrastructure of the Ukrainian population.

It has been almost seven days since the invasion started and Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi declared that Ukraine has not yet stopped the “offensive Operation” in the Kursk region of Russia.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, counter-attacked Russian officials, giving a statement that bringing war to other countries was their brainchild. However this time it smashed into the Russian homeland.

Needless to say, Russian authorities would not keep quiet about the invasion. Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the command to the Russian troops to force out the “enemy” from the Russian territory. Continuing this statement Putin referred to this incursion as a “major provocation”.

The Russian Unrest

The officials of these regions notified that 121,000 people had to leave their houses and were successful in finding shelter. About 2,000 Russian residents were still in the attacked places where the Ukrainian troops took over.

Furthermore, in the situation of this critical unrest, the Russian local governors advised people to seek shelter from the missiles in rooms with thick walls and no windows. 

More than 11,000 residents of Belgorod, close to the Kursk region were forcefully evacuated after Krasnaya Yaruga town’s people were relocated from their homes due to the severe unrest settled in the border areas.
