The department emphasised that the state government is fully committed to providing necessary assistance during the evacuation process, which is scheduled to begin on October 6, pending favourable weather conditions. Fortunately, tourists stranded in the Lachung and Lachen areas have been confirmed safe, offering a glimmer of hope amid the crisis.
