Son’s Guilty Verdict Devastates President Biden: Hunter Biden Gun Trial 

A 12-member jury found Joe Biden’s 54-year-old son Hunter guilty of federal gun charges on June 11, according to AFP. People close to them claim that the president, who is currently running for reelection, has become more resigned and fearful for his son’s future.

The sole surviving son of President Joe Biden was found guilty of all three counts related to firearms possession while under the influence of drugs. The maximum prison term for two of the crimes is ten years, and the maximum penalty for the third count is five years. Additionally, there is a $250,000 maximum penalties for each count. Judge Maryellen Noreika of the US District Court stated that the sentence date will be determined at a later date.

It further stated that this is the first time a kid of a sitting US president has been charged with a crime. Before coming to a decision, the jury deliberated for three hours over the course of two days. Hunter is likely to avoid jail time even if he is found guilty because this is his first offence. According to the report, his maximum sentence may be 25 years in prison. Sentencing was not scheduled, although it is anticipated to happen within the next two months.

Hunter Biden’s daughter Naomi Biden, Gordon Cleveland—the man who sold him the pistol at the centre of the case—and Hallie Biden, the late brother Beau Biden’s wife, were among those called to testify last week. Hunter Biden declined to make a statement.

Donald Trump, a Republican running for president, responded to US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden’s guilty verdict on Truth Social.

Trump calls Hunter Biden a terrible person who has funnelled millions of dollars from other countries to his father. But he says, even then, it is tough to blame him for wanting a gun, which he has a God-given right to have under the 2nd Amendment. Trump calls the 2nd Amendment the greatest of them all, as he has vocally declared many times before. He then adds that Biden, one of their worst presidents, is more focused on pleasing the “gun control people,” so he lacks the courage to step in and help Hunter.

He concluded by saying he will help Hunter, implying that the election won by Joe Biden was also won by him. “Don’t worry, Joe – I will save your son after I get elected (for the third time)!”, he writes. .

Various websites and news organisations, including Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency, reported on the inaccurate quotes.

The statement circulating online does not appear on the Trump campaign’s website or social media pages. Karoline Leavitt, his national press secretary, confirmed in a June 11 email that it is fabricated.
