British actress Sophie Turner loans pop star Taylor Swift’s apartment in New York City amidst her bitter divorce battle with estranged husband Joe Jonas. According to reports, Sophie loaned Tayor’s apartment located in the trendy neighborhood of Tribeca where she spent time with her two daughters Willa and Delphine. Reports suggest that this property is one of Taylor’s investments, and she has owned it for a while.
Turner was seen all smiles as she left the apartment with her two daughters. Photos from the location show the young mother safely buckling up her little one in an SUV. She then loaded a foldable travel crib and two suitcases. Sophie was seen smiling away with actress friend Olivia DeJonge as the duo walked around on a sunny day. It seems like Sophie is making the most out of this temporary accommodation.
Before moving into Tailors Apartment Turner was residing in a luxurious hotel with her two daughters. The pop star herself dated Jonas in 2008 and met up with Sophie Turner to grab dinner and drinks in New York City. They became quick friends, leading to them teaming up against Jonas, who wronged them both.
Divorce Proceedings of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas- Till Now
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner announced their divorce over two weeks ago. The decision was termed as ‘mutual’ and they were on ‘cordial’ terms. But the reality seems far from it. The actress has accused her estranged husband of withholding their daughters’ passports preventing them from returning to her native England. Jonas had denied these allegations.
A judgment by the court was subsequently passed stating the children should remain in New York City until the divorce proceedings are resolved.
The probable reason for divorces was stated by media outlets as the difference in lifestyle, yet a clear reason was not provided. A source close to the couple said this decision was made by Joe after he caught Sophie in the ring camera saying not-so-nice things about him.
Sources say that Sophie is focusing on herself and her two daughters, co-parenting, and her work projects. She did not plan to be a single mom, but she’s doing what she can.
As per the news outlet Daily Mail Turner was seen wearing her wedding ring as she came to see her children off. According to sources, Sophie removed the wedding ring later when she stepped out with her friend.
On 5th September Joe filed for divorce from Sophie stating their marriage was ‘irrevocably broken’. The couple issued a joint statement the next day calling the breakup a ‘United decision’. both shared a post on Instagram stating “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.”
Joe was seen spending quality time with his two girls in Twinkleplay space, in Brooklyn, New York. He was a blue shirt and jeans. Willa was dressed in an adorable outfit and Delphine, who is one year old was seen matching with her older sister.
This outing occurred shortly after the hearing in Miami to determine the jurisdiction of their divorce proceedings. Jonas prefers the case to be heard in the United States while Turner is advocating for it to be in England where she plans on raising their daughters. However, during the hearing, the court postponed the decision until Turner’s other lawsuit was resolved.
