Ireland skipper Paul Stirling led from the front accompanying a plucky 88 as his side achieved their ODI series against South Africa accompanying a persuasive 69-run win in the last match in Abu Dhabi. Chasing 285 to win, South Africa slipped to 126-6 accompanying only a fine 91 from Jason Smith in the game. But Smith was inadequate for fear that the Irish from demand only their second ODI win over the Proteas.

The stand was broken when Tucker tried to scoop Phehlukwayo only to sky it behind, with Ryan Rickelton taking a good catch running back.
