SRK to revoice Mufasa in Mufasa: The Lion King. Mufasa: The Lion King is a prequel to Disney‘s “live-action” version of the animation classic The Lion King, which released in 2019. Mufasa: The Lion King is currently set to release this Christmas on December 20, 2024. Directed by Berry Jenkins,  Aaron Pierre is set to play Mufasa and Kelvin Harrison Jr. is voicing Taka- the heir to the Pride Lands.

Synopsis:

Th daughter of Simba and Nala, Kiara is curious about the story of Mufasa and that’s why Rafiki recounts the story. The plot, which is told in flashbacks, starts with Mufasa as an abandoned cub who is lost and alone until he encounters Taka, a kind lion who hails from a royal family. A journey of misfits seeking their destiny and banding together to avoid a terrible and dangerous foe begins with their unforeseen meeting.

SRK As Mufasa

Mufasa will be voiced by Shah Rukh Khan in the Hindi version of Mufasa: The Lion King, which will release in India on 20th December. Mufasa was also voiced by Khan in the 2019 “live action”. SRK’s Sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan are set to voice Simba and young Mufasa respectively.

“Mufasa has an incredible legacy and stands as the ultimate king of the jungle, imparting his wisdom to his son, Simba,” Khan stated in an interview. “I really connect with him as a father and also with Mufasa’s journey in the movie,” he continued. Mufasa: It has been amazing to experience this character. The Lion King shows the story of Mufasa from his early years to his rise to the throne. It’s a very special connection for me with Disney since my sons, Aryan and Abram, are doing it alongside me.

Bikram Duggal Head of told Disney Star’s Studios told in an interview, With every story, Disney hopes to create a spirit of inspiration in future generations, and the fierce Mufasa is much more than just a fictional character. We couldn’t have imagined anyone save for Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan reprising their respective roles as Mufasa and Simba in Mufasa: The Lion King. Now that AbRam Khan is part of the cast, we cherish this movie a lot more. Our goal is for this incredible tale to be enjoyed by millions of Indian viewers along with their families.

Mufasa: The Lion King will be available in theatres in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
