“State of Readiness for War” Declared by Israel

Israel has declared and announced a “state of readiness for war” after thousands of rockets were fired at the country from the blockaded Gaza Strip.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netayahu tells the country that it is “at war” with the Gaza Strip’s Hamas militants who also rule the area. 

The unprecedented infiltration : 

The Hamas’ militants ruling the Gaza Strip launched a considerably startling and  multi-faceted attack on the country of Israel on Saturday, 7th October 2023. The Hamas rulers infiltrated the heavily fortified border of Southern Israel by firing a thousand rockets. The infiltration launched by the Hamas militants on Israel was carried out in several locations in land, sea, and air . The launching of the rockets by the ruling Hamas militants set forth the inception of a new operation.

The leader of the Hamas’ military wing, Mohammed Deif, announced the beginning of “Operation Al-Aqsa Storm”. In a recorded message, he stated that “enough is enough” and also called upon Palestinians to join the attack. He also said over 5,00 rockets had been fired by the Hamas group into Israel.

In response to this sudden attack, the Israeli government has declared a “state of readiness for war”. Israel has also launched air strikes on the Gaza Strip. Furthermore, responding to the unprecedented infiltration, the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has stated that the enemy shall pay an “unprecedented price”. In a statement, he also claimed that “We are at war and we will win”.

Several countries and nations have condemned the Hamas group and the attack on Israel. The Czech Republic government condemned the “terrorist attacks” launched by the Hamas militant group on Israel.

James Cleverly, the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, stated that the UK “unequivocally condemns” the surprise attacks on Israeli civilians by the Hamas group. In a post on social media, Cleverly said that “the UK will always support Israel’s right to defend itself”

The country of Egypt also warned of “grave consequences” from escalation in tensions between Palestine and Israel. 

Moreover, Germany also condemned the “terrorist attacks by Gaza on the Israelis”.

India has issued an advisory for its citizens in Israel and asked has them to remain vigilant.
