Suicide Bombing in Afghanistan
The Taliban seized power in Afghanistan in August 2021 during the chaotic departure of U.S. and NATO troops after 20 years. Despite initial promises of a more moderate stance, the Taliban gradually reimposed a harsh interpretation of Islamic law, or Shariah, as they did during their previous rule of Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001. An explosion in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, has killed at least six people, the police and Ministry of Interior Affairs say.
“This afternoon, a person wearing explosives on his body detonated,” Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran posted on X on Monday.
“Unfortunately six civilians, including a woman, were killed and 13 others were injured,” he added. A tone- murder bomber exploded in Kabul, Afghanistan, killing at least six people and injuring 13 others, according to original police and the Ministry of Interior Affairs. The explosion passed on Monday in the Qala-e-Bakhtiar area of southern Kabul.
Although violence in Afghanistan has dropped since the Taliban took over in 2021, the ISIL (ISIS) chapter in Khorasan Province remains active, constantly targeting civilians, strangers, and Taliban officers. This group is considered the largest security trouble in Afghanistan and has also targeted Shia communities.
ISIS linked Attack in Kabul , Afghanistan
One of the most deadly ISIS- linked attacks since the Taliban’s rise to power passed in 2022 when a tone- murder bombing at a Kabul education center killed at least 53 people, including 46 girls and immature women.
The last tone- murder attack claimed by ISIL in Afghanistan was in March, in the municipality of Kandahar. Taliban government , in Afghanistan, prophet Zabihullah Mujahid recently claimed that ISIL had been
“suppressed truly hard ” and that no groups were in Afghanistan that could pose a significant trouble, though Monday’s attack suggests ongoing security challenges.
