Travis Head and Abhishekh Sharma started and finished the match leading to a 10-wicket victory against the Super Giants.

Abhishek (75 not out, in 28 balls) and Head (89 not out, in 30 balls) smashed the LSG bowlers for their opening wicket partnership, leading them to quickly surpass the 166 target in just 9.4 overs.

The Sunrisers were up against tough opposition in the race to make the playoffs, as the league table has the Kolkata Knight Riders who have 16 points, Rajasthan Royals with 16 points, and Chennai Super Kings with 12 points, all of which are ahead of them.

With this victory, Sunrisers Hyderabad moved up to the third spot in the standings, surpassing the Chennai Super Kings with 14 points. wherein the 12 point Lucknow Super Giants managed to sneak into sixth place with a negative net run rate.

Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians are officially eliminated from the season, which is a very tough pill to swallow for the MI Paltans. But we would come back stronger!

Pat Cummins highlights the two players’ great skills and praises their outstanding batting effort. He praises Abhishek Sharma’s exceptional play and adds that it can be difficult to contain him when he’s playing at his best. Cummins is taken away by the team’s surprise birthday present.

Abhishek Sharma thanks the management for their flexibility and confidence. He accepts that Travis Head put pressure on the bowlers, which eased his own burden during the game. The victorious team will be recognized for their exceptional performance on the field today at the upcoming post-match award ceremony.

The Lucknow Super Giants team had a difficult day at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium yesterday with a score of only 27 runs with 2 wickets during the powerplay, while the Sunrisers scored 107 without any wicket loss at the home ground.

At 165 runs, the Super Giants team crumbled. Ayush Badhoni, with 55 not out in 30 balls, and Nicholas Pooran, with 48 not out in 26 balls, saved the team from a very low score. Skipper KL Rahul scored only 29 runs in 33 balls, and de Kock, who got out in only 5 balls, scored just 2 runs, leading to a bad start. Even the Stoinis sorcery was ineffective yesterday, as even he scored only 3 runs in 5 balls.

The Sunrisers’ top bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, entered, taking two wickets in just 12 runs from the batsmen.

KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, remained composed despite what appeared to be an ultimatum from team owner Sanjiv Goenka on Wednesday night in Hyderabad. Goenka’s outburst was caught on live television, and as soon as the video went viral on social media, people started criticizing him for having the talk in front of others.

LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka scolds KL Rahul publicly on the ground.

LSG promised to make a comeback and thanked their supporters in a post shared on their official X account. The post said, “That game hurts us all.”

“Yet, despite this setback, we are incredibly appreciative of every blue flag at Uppal as well as every social media post or remark that shows our support. Over the past two years, this team has shown resiliency, and we will do it once again. “We appreciate your continued support, LSG Brigade,” it continued.

There are two games remaining for LSG, against Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. But since there are four other teams that can finish with 16 points or more, winning their final two games won’t guarantee them a spot in the playoffs.

KL Rahul, the captain of Lucknow, says that he is at a loss for words and cannot properly express the batting display they have just witnessed. adds that it appeared like everything was striking their bats in the middle.

The only way to prevent hitters from entering the game with this mentality is to pick wickets in the powerplay, which they did not do. Shares that pitch did not change much. It feels like they were missing 40–50 runs. adds that Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran played outstanding innings to lead them to 166.
