This year has most definitely been classified as a Taylor Swift year. She kicked off her Eras Tour this year in March in the United States, which was explosively successful. She began her tour in Glendale, Arizona, where the Mayor announced that for the 2 days that Swift would be in town, the state would be renamed ‘Swift City’, in honour of Taylor’s consecutive shows in the state. In California, Taylor was announced as the Mayor of Santa Clara in honour of her shows in the city.

Economic Impact of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour

The impact of the Eras Tour has been profound in every aspect. The tour has the ability to generate 80 billion dollars in economic relief, while also prompting hundreds of thousands of youths to register for voting. Political leaders from Canada to Peru have requested the presence of Taylor Swift in their respective countries to not only appease Swifties but also for the generation of economic benefit that her tour has become a leading name.

The tourist industry had an explosive return post the COVID recession, with US hotels generating over 208 million dollars to house Swifties from all over the country and the world who came to see the star perform live.

The Eras Tour: LA Premiere

For millions of Swifties in many international locations which unfortunately did not make the Eras Tour list, watching a documentary of what may be the most successful tour in this generation was the only thing that could potentially appease them. When Taylor announced the release of her Eras Tour Film in theatres all around the globe, fans flocked to multiple websites to book their tickets to watch Swift perform after her Reputation tour in 2018.

Taylor Swift graced the red carpet of her Eras Tour Film at The Grove in LA, and her outfit was jam-packed with lots of Easter Eggs, as well as rocking a brand new hair-do. There seems to be a debate online as to whether or not she cut off her long golden locks, for a short wavy bob-cut, reminiscent of her iconic 1989 haircut ahead of its release later this month. From various angles, multiple arguments can be made about the potential haircut, or if it is a product of hairstyling wizardry.

The Easter Egg in the Room

Taylor rocked a gorgeous strapless sky-blue ballgown, with a small train, with matching blue heels, and her quintessential 1989 makeup look. But that’s not what has people talking; Swift’s dress had quite a few cuts placed in odd areas, almost as if it was torn, even though it was a product of fashionable creativity.

Many eagle-eyed fans were quick to conclude that this may be a nod to her zombie look in her song Look What You Made Me Do, where she raises from the dead, in a dress quite similar to the one she was wearing, albeit somewhat dirty, torn, and damaged. Long-time Swifties declared that this was Taylor’s way of informing them that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) would be the next re-recorded album. There may be no way to confirm it, but its a story worth knowing.
