Swift acknowledged that fans want to show their support in a video message shared to her
social media accounts on Wednesday. However, she said that it is dangerous and
disrespectful to throw objects at her and her dancers.
She stated that i know this is something that happens usually, but my and my fans safety are
the utmost important to me.
Swift’s request follows several other artists who, in recent months, have been struck by items
thrown from the crowd. Pop singer Bebe Rexha was struck in the face by a phone during a
performance in Utah in June. Taylor, was admitted in the hospital due to a cut in the lower
part of her eye.
A few days later, Rexha asked her followers to stop hurling objects at her on social media
while posting a picture of her wound.
“Im alright, she said but please for the love of god, do not do something that hurts me or my
fans, my performance is for the people i love, please dont show your love like this”.
In the concerts of Billie eilish, harry styles and shawn mendes these things are tend to
happen everytime.
Swift expressed in a video message that while she values the thoughtfulness of fans who
bring gifts, she would rather see them held in their hands or waved.
She said, “I hope you all have a fantastic time at the concert because I love you all so
much.” However, I beg you to refrain from throwing objects at my dancers or me.
Why is this behavior expected by fans?
There could be number of possible reasons as to which why people/ audience throw objects
on the stage. Some fans do this in an attempt to get the artist’s attention. Some people think
they cant gift their special stars by throwing objects. Others simply behave in this manner
without thinking through the consequences.
It is imperative to understand that throwing objects is rude and disgraceful to the artists. It
might also divert the artist’s attention, which would impair their performance.
People can support their favorite artists and musicians in many other ways too.
Here are some suggestions:
- Join in on their tunes.
- Raise your hands in celebration; * Raise your arms.
- Display banners or signs with encouraging words on them.
- Purchase their goods.
- Get behind their causes.
In conclusion –
Taylor Swift has good reason to be worried about her own safety as well as the safety of her
dancers and fans. It is impolite and dangerous to throw objects at performers while they are
performing; such behavior has no place in a concert.
People need to be more civilized and should realize in the end, the artists they love are also
human beings.
Fans can contribute to making the experience safer and more pleasurable for all parties
involved by heeding Swift’s request.
Throwing objects on stage not only carries physical risks but can also cause distractions for
performers, making it harder for them to deliver a performance. They may find it challenging
to concentrate on their performance and provide their fans with the greatest experience
possible as a result.
Some music venues are now enforcing stricter policies regarding throwing objects on stage
in light of these worries. For instance, some concert halls have implemented policies
prohibiting attendees from bringing specific items, like cameras, phones, and water bottles.
Fans who are caught throwing objects on stage risk being ejected, according to warnings
from other venues.
By being mindful of their surroundings, refraining from throwing objects onto the stage, and
reporting any incidents to security staff, fans can help to promote fan safety. In addition,
artists can help by informing fans about the risks associated with throwing objects on stage,
setting clear guidelines for acceptable fan conduct, and enforcing their rules against such
behavior
