Recently in an interview during the promotion of ‘Tejas’ with IMDb Kangana revealed her upcoming three projects, The actress earlier announced that her film Emergency has been delayed to 2024 due to her upcoming projects lined up. One of which is a thriller with Vijay Sethupati .In the interview the actress confirms the upcoming shooting of Tanu Weds Manu 3, which is a very thrilling and exciting news for the Tanu Weds Manu fans.
IS IT CONFIRMED?
The second and last film in the franchise – ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ – was released in the year 2015. When the director of the film of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, Aanand L. Rai was asked about making the third part soon, he denied the reports and clearly gave the statement that ‘it is not happening’. Earlier this year on the eighth anniversary of this film, Kangana in a social media post requested Anand Lal Rai to make the third part of this movie.
Even though Kangana has announced the comeback of Tanu Weds Manu, an official announcement regarding the same is still awaited. It is yet to be confirmed by the makers of the franchise.

R MADHAVAN ON ‘TANU WEDS MANU’
Last Year in an interview with YouTuber Jaby Koay , R Madhavan said that the making of the third part is not possible. According to him this is not a superhero series, so there won’t be any sequel.Earlier this year on the eighth anniversary of this film Madhavan was asked about the probability of getting the third part of the franchise, the actor said that the director has not yet begun working on the script. Basically closing the possibility of getting the third part.

The announcement of a third part of Tanu weds Manu is still not official and is still shocking news for the viewers as earlier director Aanand L. Rai had declined the remake for the third part. In one of Lal’s interviews from 2015, he said, “I won’t make the third part just because it is a brand, or because it will work. Let’s not treat it like a series. Right now, there is no part three. I think I am done with the characters, at least for now.” Until then let’s wait for an official announcement and be ready to pop your popcorn.
