Veteran music director Vipin Reshammiya, father of singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya, passed away at the age of 87.According to reports, Vipin breathed his last on Wednesday evening at 8:30 pm. He had been undergoing treatment at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai due to breathing issues and other age-related health problems.

The late Vipin Reshammiya was the father of playback vocalist and music composer Himesh Reshammiya. On September 18, a Wednesday, at 8:30 p.m., the late music director and producer departed for his eternal home.
His age was 87. In Mumbai, Vipin was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. It was claimed that Himesh’s father was having health concerns due to ageing and respiratory difficulties.

He even shared a touching video on Instagram, describing how his father had written a lovely song that was never released and was recorded by the great vocalists Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.
“My dad, composer Vipin Reshammiya, had composed a beautiful track quite a few years back sung by the legendary Lataji and Kishore Kumar ji,” Himesh had written as the description for the photo. Sadly, it was not able to be released at that time.” He expressed his joy at finally releasing the song to the public and said that it was one of the best classic melodies ever written.
For the uninitiated, Vipin Reshammiya produced Teraa Surroor (2016) and The Xpose (2014). His son, Himesh Reshammiya, starred in the majority of the flicks. For the 1990 unreleased movie Insaaf Ka Suraj, Vipin created the music.
As per reports, the singer of Naam Hai Tera once revealed that he met Salman Khan when he and his father, Vipin Reshammiya, were working together on a movie.
