Zoya Akhtar reveals Agastya Nanda’s take when first approached for the film

In an insightful and fun interview with Free Press Journal, the Archies director Zoya Akhtar decided to spill some beans about the casting process as well as the cast of the Archies itself. While having a joyous and intricate conversion about the film, she recalled some information about the main lead of the film. She later revealed that Agastya Nanda, the son of Shweta Bachchan wasn’t very keen on acting in the film at the very beginning of the casting process.

She stated that every single person knew how the cast was supposed to be an ensemble of seven characters. Every character had their very own beginning, middle, and end knowing exactly what to accept as well as expect. She also mentioned that during the casting call Agastya, Suhana, and others were all auditioned.

She further continued saying that she and her casting team wanted the characters to be in the age group of 17 years. Even though Agastya didn’t want to act, they decided to test him and he showed up for the audition despite being into business.
