An official statement from the movie The Fall Guy

A better look at the upcoming action-thriller The Fall Guy can be found in the trailer. Based upon the 1981–1986 Lee Majors television series of the exact same title, the film centers on an elderly stuntman who gets entangled in an investigation when the celebrity he is double vanishes for no apparent reason. With a cast consisting of Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Stephanie Hsu, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, and Teresa Palmer, The Fall Guy is directed by David Leitch, the filmmaker behind Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train as well.

At the start of his epic voyage, Colt claims that , “I am not the protagonist, I’m just the duplicate.” This demonstrates that the actor is the most recent hesitant protagonist that Ryan Gosling has delivered to the movie theater. His new role appears to be a cross of both the rougher seriousness of his superspy role Six in the streaming service Netflix movie The Gray Man and the charmingly naive low-class investigator Holland the month of March from the 2016 film The Nice Guys.

The movie has the ability to display the comedic mood that Leitch has established throughout numerous other prior action pictures due to the character’s vulnerability. Even though Colt is successful, he still manages to accomplish some amazing things with and without a camera. He does some amazing “Jason Bourne” work while doing his awkward investigations.

Being an early action artist himself, Leitch is used to rapid motion. He might just be able to buck the general trend, even if his franchise’s films—like Deadpool 2 and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw—usually do more well at ticket sales than his non-franchise films—like Atomic Blonde and Bullet Train. Two A-list actors that complement each other nicely lead the Fall Guy team. If the film delivers on the action blockbuster thrills promised by the first trailer, director David Leitch might have a true success on his shoulders given the film’s tie with the actors.
