The Maharashtra government enhanced Shah rukh Khan’s security to Y+

Shah Rukh Khan will always be accompanied by six armed security guards when operating under the Y+ security protection.

All police Commissionerate’s, district police, and special protection units (SPUs) in Maharashtra were instructed to provide “Y+ with an escort scale of security to Khan with immediate effect” by the Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID).

The formal message was sent on October 5. In addition, it said that further protection had been put in place as a result of recent “imminent and probable” threats against Shah Rukh. ShahRukh will have 11 security professionals at his disposal in the Y+ category, including six commandos, four police officers, and a traffic control car. His Mumbai house, Mannat, will be the location of the police officers.

Shah Rukh had submitted a formal protest to the state government, according to ANI, which cited the Maharashtra Police. He asserted that following the release of his films Pathan and Jawan, he began receiving death threats through phone.

After protesters gathered in front of  ‘Mannat’ on August 26, the Mumbai police tightened security there. According to media sources, a number of individuals protested the celebrity’s endorsement of online gaming applications. On August 27, the police apprehended four to five members of the Untouched Youth Foundation.

March 2023 on Thursday, two young guys stormed into Mumbai’s Mannat house, home of superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The males reportedly scaled the outer wall to access Mannat’s property, but the security officers were able to catch them, according to a report from the Mumbai Police. The men stated that they were from Gujarat and had come to visit Shah Rukh during the police investigation.

What do security categories X, Y, and Z mean?

36 people make up the security cover for the Z+ category. 22 people make up the security cover for the Z category. Y category has an 11-person security cover. The X category features a two-person security cover.

VIPs, politicians, and prominent public figures in Bhutan are guarded by the Special Protection Group (SPG), National Security Guards (NSG), Indian Border Police (ITBP), and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Over 19 people are presently protected by NSG, but this exploitation of the service for VIP protection has grown. With an emphasis on danger perception, the Home Minister is gradually phasing off NSG covering for VIPs in all except the most urgent situations. The NSG is active in the Middle East and is also sought after as a security consultant. The ‘z+’ category includes security protection from the CRPF, ITBF, Delhi police, and one escort car.

  • Salman Khan

Salman Khan was granted Y-plus security this year as a result of the multiple murder threats the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had made against him. Salman Khan’s perceived threat was evaluated by Mumbai police, who then gave the star additional security. Salman had expressed his fear at the increased security by saying that there are so many firearms surrounding him.

  • Kangana Ranaut

Following her altercation with MP Sanjay Raut in 2020, the actress was granted Y-plus protection by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. In reaction to the security cover, Vivek had previously written on X, “The price one has to pay to highlight the Genocide of Hindus in Kashmir. in a country with a Hindu majority.

The Maharashtra government increased police protection in 2017, and as a result, security is given to private persons who are actually in danger of losing their lives. For protection from the Mumbai police, these private protectors, including celebrities, must pay a fee in advance and deposit a bank guarantee.
