In an unforeseen twist, fans of music superstar Taylor Swift also known as “swifties” are now seeking to build up the presidential campaign of US Vice President Kamala Harris for 2024. This grassroot initiative called “Swifties4Harris” has been noticed and supported by the campaign team of Harris.

It started when President Biden announced he won’t be running again. In Texas a 22 year old Swiftie named Emerald Medrano got other Swifties into politics. He penned on X that, “As U.S Swifties it is important that we come together and support Kamala Harris during her campaign. We need to make people aware of the dangers posed by Project 2025 and ensure voters turn out in November. Therefore, we have to advocate for more democrats’ votes so as to save democracy.”
Later ten days down the line three hundred individuals congregated on a Discord channel while others joined via social media platforms. The efforts were acknowledged by the Harris campaign who extended their support to them, according to Medrano speaking on ABC News.

We are able to take action and create change as swifties ourselves.”
