West Bengal HORRORS: TMC Sponsored Hooliganism, Assaults Women

1

The history of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has been marked with vandalism and hooliganism since the party came to power in 2011. Mamata Banerjee’s party hasn’t even left attacking their political opponents, both the BJP and CPI(M) and have frequently attacked women as allegations of TMC linked assault and rape have always come up. After the infamous Sandeshkhali incident, a video again erupted from Chopra in North Dinajpur district of West Bengal where a man and woman were brutally beaten by a TMC MLA in daylight. Such cases didn’t halt even till now.

It hasn’t been many days since the Chopra incident came into light, where a local TMC leader-associate named Tajemul (famously known as JCB in the locality) man-handled a man and woman in its “summary justice”, as they were brutally bitten by the bahubali leader with sticks. While the woman was seen screaming in pain, none of the large crowd came to save her, showing the terror of the TMC leaders in the area. As per TV9 Bangla, he operated a Taliban-styled quick justice through “Insab Sabha” and is an associate of Hajibur Rahaman, Chopra’s MLA. CPI(M) leader Mohammad Selim shared the brutal incident’s video and showed his concern about the lawlessness of West Bengal.

In another incident, a video has again erupted from Kamarati Panchayat of North 24 Parganas District of West Bengal of a woman being beaten by Jaswant Singh, the Trinamool MLA and his associates in their strongroom

The graphic footage shows Singh and his accomplices brutally assaulting a young woman, sparking widespread condemnation and serious concerns about women’s safety in the state. The video quickly went viral on social media, garnering outrage of the public and voices for proper justice for the victim.

Malviya shared a video showing Trinamool members assaulting a girl during their ‘Insaf Sabha’ at Taltala Cub in the Kamarhati Assembly, which reportedly took place six months ago in Dum Dum, part of the Greater Kolkata region.

He called on the National Commission for Women (NCW) and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to address the lawlessness in Bengal, the increasing crimes against women, and the perceived collapse of the constitutional framework.

TMC spokesperson Riju Dutta was fast to provide his clarification after the video went viral in social media. He said that the videos are from 2021, and hence are old. He further said that the accused Jaswant Singh and his associates are currently imprisoned by the Kolkata Police.
