At the third annual Gold Gala in May 2024, attendees included HYBE chairman Bang si-hyuk,content creator Valkyrae, actors John Cho and Lucy Liu and Regina King,directors Jon M. Chu and Lulu Wang,Ian Ousley, actor Gordon Cormier, Dallas Liu,singer and songwriter Cynthia Erivo,and Elizabeth Yu from the live-action series Avatar: The Last Airbender, Olympic champions Kristi Yamaguchi, Chloe Kim, Nathan Chen, and many more.

The gold gala’s top looks are as follows:

Avan Jogia and Halsey:

The singer and her Indian-origin Canadian actor partner wore elaborately ethnically themed outfits created by Sabyasachi.

Wearing a sherwani jacket with gold embroidery over a maroon velvet base, Avan wore his patterned collared shirt with billowy burgundy pants.

In addition to wearing it with a brooch at the waist, layered necklaces, several chain belts, and glossy heeled shoes.

Halsey, resplendent in a Sabyasachi lehenga, stood by his side. It included a long-sleeved red floral blouse with a gold-embroidered neckline and a paneled skirt that displayed gold embroidery in several colors.

Her shoulder was covered by a sheer dupatta featuring a wide sequin border. Gold necklaces, rings, and earrings completed Halsey’s ensemble, and her pink hair and subtle makeup gave the ethnic style a contemporary twist.

Eugene Lee Yang:

American filmmaker, actor, author, and internet celebrity Eugene Lee Yang was born on January 18, 1986. He is best known for his work with BuzzFeed from 2013 to 2018 and for being a part of the YouTube group The Try Guys from 2014 to the present.

Yang is renowned for his contributions to a number of LGBTQ+ and human rights organizations, including The Trevor Project. Yang voiced Ambrosius Goldenloin in Nimona, where he played the lead role.

Maitreyi Ramakrishna:

Born in Canada on December 28, 2001, she works as an actress. She is well-known for playing the lead role of Devi Vishwakumar, a high school student, in the Netflix teen comedy series called “Never Have I Ever”(2020–2023). She also gave voice in the Pixar picture Turning Red (2022).

Sang Young shin:

Sang-Young Shin, also known as Kim Chi, is a Korean-American drag queen, artist, entrepreneur, and television personality. She was born on August 8, 1987, and her Korean heritage is evident in her competition on the eighth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

In addition to being the first Korean-American drag queen on American national television, Kim Chi was the first Korean-American competitor on the show. She is the owner of the cosmetics company Kim Chi Chic.

Avantika:

American actress Avantika Vandanapu was born on January 25, 2005. She goes by the moniker Avantika. In the Telugu film industry of India, she worked on multiple films starting with Brahmotsavam (2016).

In the Disney Channel original film Spin (2021), she landed her first major role. She then starred in Netflix’s Senior Year (2022). Her most well-known role was in the musical comedy Mean Girls (2024), where she played Karen Shetty.

Nymphia Wind:

Nymphia Wind is a Taiwanese drag queen who won “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” recently . She told CNN that Singaporean designer Sheng Cheong created her ensemble, which included a dress and cape with a striking print of neon yellow and white “laser cut clouds” that was meant to “reimagine what club kids would look like in the Forbidden City.”

Michele Yeoh:

is an actress from Malaysia. Initially given credit as Michelle Khan in her Hong Kong films, she gained notoriety in the 1980s and 1990s as a star of action films in which she executed her own stunts. Among these are the following: Tai Chi Master (1993), Police Story 3: Supercop (1992), Yes, Madam (1985), Holy Weapon (1993), and The Heroic Trio (1993).

Margaret cho:

Born on December 5, 1968, Margaret Moran Cho is an American actress and stand-up comedian. She is well-known for her stand-up routines, in which she criticizes various social and political issues, particularly those pertaining to sexuality and race. After starring in the ABC sitcom All-American Girl (1994–1995), she gained notoriety and went on to establish herself as a stand-up comedian in the years that followed.

Agnez Mo:

Agnez Mo, whose real name is Agnes Monica Muljoto, was born on July 1, 1986, and is an Indonesian singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. Throughout her career, the multilingual singer—who records in both Indonesian and English—has been recognized for her ability to reinvent her image and her range of musical styles.Mo is the Indonesian artist with the most awards in history.

Hello Kitty :

The Japanese company Sanrio is the owner of the fictional character Hello Kitty. The character was created by Yuko Shimizu and is currently designed by Yuko Yamaguchi.Hello Kitty is portrayed by Sanrio as an anthropomorphized white cat with a red bow and a hidden mouth.Her backstory states that she and her family reside in a suburb of London and have a close relationship with her twin sister Mimmy, who is shown wearing a yellow bow.
