Musicians who are on top 10 in US Album Charts this week:

Taylor Swift.

Her new album “The Tortured Poets Department ”poets department” is on top of the US album charts. 

The album was released on 19th April 2024. The album charted number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart on 4th may. 

Not only that, the album has the record of largest streaming week of an album since the chart began in December,2014. 

The album is the first album to suppress 300 million dreams in a single day. This the fastest album in history to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify in a single week.

The album broke Drake’s previous record of most streamed album in a single week by crossing 799 Million streams across all platforms.

The song “Fortnite” from the album “The Tortured poets department” became the most streamed song in a single day in Spotify.

Beside that, Taylor has resumed her ongoing ‘Eras Tour’ in Paris with seven tracks added from her new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.

Dua lipa.

English-Albanian singer Dua Lipa’s third studio album, Radical Optimism, will be released on May 3, 2024 by Warner Records. It marks her first full-length studio album release in four years, following Future Nostalgia (2020). Lipa co-produced Radical Optimism with Kevin Parker, Danny L Harle, Ian Kirkpatrick, and Andrew Wyatt. Three singles were released before the album, including “Houdini,” “Training Season,” and “Illusion.”

Critics generally praised Radical Optimism upon its release. The majority of reviewers praised the album’s neo-psychedelia, but some felt it was less radical than it could have been. In the United Kingdom, it debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, marking the biggest opening week for a British female in three years. The Radical Optimism Tour will support the album and begin in June 2024.

Morgan Wallen.

Next is Morgan Wallen’s new song, “I had some help” featuring Post Malone. It was released on 10 th May, Friday.

Future and Metro Boomin.

Their collaborative album We Do not Trust You debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated April 6), marking 2024’s largest week in terms of equivalent album units earned and streams generated by a set’s songs. It marks Future’s ninth No. 1 and Metro Boomin’s fourth.

Seventeen.

The kpop group seventeen is on top 10 with their album MAESTRO.

Kayne West and Ty Dollars Sign.

The American hip hop supergroup ¥$, consisting of rapper Kanye West and singer Ty Dolla Sign, released their debut studio album, Vultures 1. On February 10, 2024, the former’s YZY label released it independently to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Ye’s debut studio album.

Morgan Wallen.

Next is Morgan Wallen’s another album “Dangerous: The Double Album”. Republic Records and Big Loud Records released the double album in CD, vinyl, and digital download formats on 8th January,2021. The album was produced by Joey Moi, Jacob Durrett, Charlie Handsome, Matt Dragstrem, and Dave Cohen.[1] It also features appearances from Chris Stapleton and Ben Burgess.

Beyoncé.

Her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter (also known as Act II: Cowboy Carter), was released on March 29, 2024, by Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. Cowboy Carter, a concept album, is the second instalment in a planned trilogy of albums, following Renaissance. Beyoncé envisioned Cowboy Carter as a reinvention of Americana, highlighting the underappreciated contributions of Black pioneers to American musical and cultural history.

Noah Kahan.

He was born January 1, 1997. He  is an American singer-songwriter who signed with Republic Records in 2017. His breakthrough single, “Hurt Somebody,” went gold in the United States and charted in several international markets. His debut album, Busyhead (2019), was preceded by the release of the same-titled single and EP. Within five years, he released two more albums: I Was / I Am (2021) and Stick Season (2022), the latter of which became his mainstream commercial breakthrough and earned him a Grammy Award nomination in 2023 for Best New Artist.

SZA

Her SOS debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in December 2022 and remained there for 10 non consecutive weeks, the longest run by a female R&B/hip-hop album since Mariah Carey’s self-titled debut spent 11 weeks at No. 1 in 1991.
