What happened with the pizza delivery guy?

A video that went viral on social media showed the customer who made the payment in cash, insulting the agent for being unable to produce change. The delivery agent informed the customer that he was not carrying any change with him as the bill said it was not a cash-on-delivery order.

The adamant customer won’t come to a resolution and asked the delivery agent repeatedly to contact his workplace. The customer even recorded the whole incident on his phone as a Tiktok content without revealing his face and titled the video “Me vs the pizza man”.

The delivery agent, despite being severely insulted, asked the customer calmly if he could pay via card. But the customer demanded that he is not going to pay with a card as he always made the payment in cash.

The customer asked the delivery agent in a rude manner if he thought that the man never placed an order before and ordered him to do something about it.

The agent tried to call the customer service for advice and asked to have a talk with the customer complaining about the harassment he had to face. The customer service suggested the agent to take back his order, return the money, and come back with a change to deliver it to the customer. While the customer kept on insulting him and won’t let the agent leave. The customer mocking the accent of the agent said that the agent was complaining about being abused like a baby girl.

When the agent asked the customer to return the food packet he refused to hand it over instead he dared the agent to pick it up from the floor himself making inappropriate gestures to him.

The agent called the customer service for a second time now and asked if they could send the change in the location. The customer service agreed to the request of the agent who then left the place with the customer still abusing him.

Reactions of the viewers on abuse of delivery man

The video went viral bringing loads of criticism to the Canadian customer for his unacceptable behavior towards the delivery agent. Many viewers have also voiced concerns over the situation of the delivery boys and the tipping culture.

A user commented that no one deserved to be treated like this and condemned the nuisance influencers. Another user said that any kind of negative or unwanted attention these nuisance creators receive are justified. Another one termed the customer as a “Brutal bully” and sympathized with the delivery man who was just trying to do his job.

This is not the first case of racial discrimination in North America in the past few years. In August 2022 an Indian American man Tejinder Singh, 37, hurled racist slurs and even spitted on another Indian Krishnan Jayaraman at a Taco Bell outlet in California. The accused was then arrested by California’s Fremont Police.

Few days before the incident a Mexican American woman was also arrested for subjecting four Indian American women to racial discrimination and asking them to go back to India in Texas.
