On Wednesday 20 December, the trailer of Merry Christmas was out on YouTube Tips Films. In lead roles Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi share screen in this movie along with Sanjay Kapoor. Sriram Raghavan’s directed movie Merry Christmas is an upcoming thriller movie that was signed by the cast in 2021. This movie was produced by Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures and was screened in two languages Hindi and Tamil.
This movie was initially prepared for screening Merry Christmas in cinemas in 2022 but the delay in post-production dragged this movie so long on 12 January 2024. NETFLIX already bought this movie for streaming at a cost of Rs. 60 crore. Producer Ramesh said, “Vijay suited the role perfectly so we approached him for this film and Katrina was always our only choice for the role right from the beginning.”

In the upcoming year, 7 Tamil films will be released where Sethupathi was cast along with Bollywood movie Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas: Analysing the Trailer
First time Katrina and Vijay are featured together in a film and also it is the third Bollywood movie of Sethupathi. This movie is about a Christmas Eve which went wrong and added some thrill.
This 140-minute trailer of Merry Christmas starts with a sneak peek of entire movie scenes and then a Christmas carnival scene where two strangers, Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi meet with each other after that they come to the house and after 12 they celebrate Christmas dancing, kissing and drinking, a joyful eve was showing in first few seconds and that moment the bright night became dark and mystery enters.
After that Sanjay Kapoor was seen, in the last scene of the clip Katrina Kaif was sitting in a movie theater with a little girl and Sethupathi was in front of them and suddenly Katrina and the little girl vanished and cut. There are so many riddles in the trailer that are not going to be solved before watching the movie and Christmas jingles were continuously buzzing in the entire trailer.
Already the trailer got 2.9 million love within 18 hours of the trailer release. Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif’s fans were really excited to see them on screen and solve the riddles on 12 January 2024.
