Government Accuses Instagram of Censorship Turkey has blocked access to Instagram, as announced by the national communications authority BTK on Friday. He emphasized Turkey’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, saying, “We will stand by our Palestinian brothers at every opportunity and on every platform.”

Ismail Haniyeh, the political chief of Hamas and a close ally of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was killed along with his bodyguard in Tehran on Wednesday. Hamas and Iran have blamed Israel for the attack, though Israel has not commented on the incident.

We want some rules to be followed… We intervene when they disregard legal rules and public sensitivities,” Uraloglu said. He added that the ban would be lifted once Instagram addresses these issues.
