Looking at the situation from the point of view 2.5 years back, the situation would be so inconceivable. Ukraine fighting back after Russian troops destroyed half of the country’s infrastructure is unfathomable indeed. However, the circumstances took a surprising turn. The Ukrainian Army invaded Russia’s Kursk a week ago and the invasion continues to blow.

The Continuous Attack of Ukraine

“Z” is to symbolise the invasion directed by the Russian Government. And to represent Ukraine’s most audacious attempt a triangle is used to represent the courage to fend it off. Now in the Sumy region, the triangle is painted or affixed to the sides of each armour tank, supply truck and also the personnel carriers of every vehicle that is advancing towards the Russian Border.

Ukraine’s sudden attack on Russian territory sure gained some vigilant light on the strength and speed of the Ukrainian army, through this operation Ukraine has taken control over hundreds of square kilometres of Russian soil. Till now there are 28 towns and villages are under Ukrainian control, according to the details put forward by the Russian Official in charge of the Kursk border region. As for the record thousands of people have evaluated their homeland in this attacked Kursk region, and more than 200,000 Russian Citizens have abandoned their homes.

The Different Narratives

However, it is unclear how much of the Russian territory is actually under the control of Ukraine’s soldiers. The Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi declared 1000 square kilometres of area. The Ukrainian control over their biggest cross border incursion is still very unclear.

The Russian narrative about the attack was at odds with Kyiv’s reportage. According to Major General Apti Alaudinov, the Ukrainian force had been stopped from further advancing into Russian territory. The incursion of Ukraine’s army has been dissuaded at the village approximately 26 to 28 (16 to 17 miles) from the border region.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy detailed “exchange fun”, the meaning denoting Kyiv’s forces that had detained Russian soldiers that could be exchanged for captured Ukrainian combatants.

Zelenskiy further declared that the offensive in the Kursk region is advancing. The Ukraine army is making progress despite the tough and violent combat. He continued that the “exchange fund” is having a significant gain from this situation. Also notified that the Ukrainian Government now takes control of 74 villages in Russian territory.

The Russian Deployment in East Ukraine

Russia is set to utilise much superior army strength, the Russian forces are attempting an incursion with much superior army strength.
