Ukrainian Army’s Incursion Advanced 30 km Inside Russia

In a dramatic turn of events the Ukrainian troop’s incursion above 30km in the Russian land has turned out to be the largest and most profound assault since Moscow started its full-blown incursion of Ukraine in February 2022.  

According to the Russian defense ministry, the Kursk region invasion reached its sixth day. The forces of Russia had now fought against the Ukrainian army close to the villages of Tolpino and Obshchy Kolodez.

The back-and-forth word fight continued as Russian spokeswoman for the foreign ministry Maria Zakharova charged that the Ukrainian army is deliberately harassing creating chaos in the “peaceful population of Russia”. 

To address this statement on Friday night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, directly acknowledged the fact of the invasion for the first time. He continued with the statements that Russians had carried out more than 2000 cross-border incursions from the very place of Kursk in the summer. 

Thousand of Russian army troops, significantly larger than the modest invasion the first time were notified by the Russian Border guards. They were involved in the operation as per a statement given by a senior official to AFP.  Throughout the years Ukraine has backed several cross-border attacks in Russia by the sabotage groups. However, this type of planned and coordinated attack on Russian territory surely marked an event by the Kyiv’s conventional soldiers. The Urakian attack movement for the Kursk has surely shaken the whole world. 

Officials on The Ukrainian Incursion

On Sunday, The Russian Defense Ministry announced that Ukrainian soldiers had penetrated deep into the Russian territory by using armoured vehicles. Furthermore, The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Ukrainian soldiers were battling with the Russians in the area near the villages of Tolpino and Obshvhy Kolodez suggesting the advance of the Ukrainian group in the Russian territory of Kursk border region as these villages are roughly 25 and 30 km from Russia Ukraine border.  

There are several footage circulating on the internet showing the Russian strike close to the settlement of Levenshinka. The area is around 25 km from the border of Russia and Ukraine.

Many towns in the Kursk region of Russia are allegedly under the control of Ukrainian Soldiers. The Ukrainian troops have recorded themselves taking down the Russian flag from an official administrative building in the village of Guevo, Russia. Guevo is located approximately 3 km inside Russia.  More videos that are circulating on the internet showed the Ukrainian army taking control of the Sverdlikovo and Poroz’s official government construction. The Ukrainian army units reportedly took control of the government establishment in these towns of Russia. Also, there are reports of relentless fighting in the town of Sudzha, which has barely 5000 residents in the town.

The authorities of the Kursk region have officially declared a state emergency. Also according to the Russian government, more than 76000 people have fled from the border region of Russia. Aleksei Smirnov, the acting regional governor, stated that 15 people were severely injured because of the fighting in the Kursk, as a multi-story building was hit by debris of a fallen Ukrainian Missile.
