The latest creation by OpenAI, called ‘Sora’, is a revolutionary tool that can create videos in just a minute. Elon Musk, shared his thoughts on Twitter in response to Chat GPT CEO Sam Altmen’s post about the launch of ‘Sora’. In his tweet, Elon mentioned that Tesla has been generating real-world videos with accurate physics for almost a year. However, the training data for these videos only came from the cars, resulting in the videos appearing as if they were from a Tesla, albeit with a dynamically generated world.
About ‘Sora’
A research organisation, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced the launch of ‘Sora’, an AI model developed by OpenAI, on February 15, 2024. The primary focus of this model is to create videos while ensuring the safe use of artificial intelligence. Sora was built using the DALL-E and GPT models, which can generate images and text from natural language prompts.
Sora is currently in the red teaming phase, where the company is actively working to identify any flaws and risks in the system. In addition, Sora is being tested by a variety of designers, visual artists, and filmmakers who can provide feedback on the model. At present, OpenAI is not available to the public, and there is no information about its wider launch or availability.
‘Sora’s present challenges
Currently, the software ‘Sora’ is encountering several challenges in its early stages and undergoing various transformations under the guidance of its developer. The most significant obstacle that ‘Sora’ faces is the possibility of its artificial intelligence technology being misused, which could result in the creation and dissemination of unethical and fake videos. This scenario could result in legal implications for the potential victims who might not have granted their consent for such videos.
Safety measures for using ‘Sora’
OpenAI is implementing multiple safety measures to ensure the responsible usage of ‘Sora’. They are engaging various policymakers, educators, and artists worldwide to understand their concerns and to identify positive use cases for this new technology. OpenAI is also sharing its research progress at a minimum stage to get feedback from people outside of the organization. This will give the public an idea of what AI is capable of which will be available for public use very soon.

The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my iphone and tested to see if it can survive a forty foot drop, just so she can be a
youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views.
I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
