The much anticipated Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Leo’ is creating a storm at Box Office even before its release. The pre-sales are shooting up internationally, bringing the sum to 5 million USD. ‘Leo’ is seizing the attention of the fans and is on its way to surpass the 6 million USD mark. If things go well, the movie has a good chance of touching the 7 million USD milestone.
Vijay’s ‘Leo’ : Pre-sales Overseas
Thalapathy Vijay starrer is anticipated to dominate the weekend box office on its release, the movie is creating a lot of buzz and hype gaining attention all over. Internationally, the film has successfully done pre-release business of 5 million USD out of which, 3.30 million on the first day with previews included and 1.50 million USD over the weekend.
Rajnikanth’s previously released ‘Jailer’ collected 15 million USD in four days after release and ‘Leo’ is expected to surpass that. Ponniyin Selvan 1 and Jailer respectively collected 5.20 and 4.70 million USD on the opening days and ‘Leo’ has already collected more than 55% of these numbers and few more days are left before the movie hit the big screens making good possibilities for ‘Leo’ to touch 7 million USD milestone. The movie is expected to cross Rs.100 crore collection worldwide on the opening day and in India, it is expected to collect Rs. 60 crore.

Leo : Bloody Sweet
Leo is an upcoming action – thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by S. S. Jagadish Palanisamy and Lalit Kumar. The film was initially announced in January 2023 titled as “Thalapathy 67” as it is Thalapathy Vijay’s 67th film. The title was later re-announced as ‘Leo’. The music is given by popular composer Anirudh Ravichander, it’s his fourth association with Vijay after ‘Master’, ‘Beast’ and ‘Kaththi’ and third collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj after ‘Master’ and ‘Vikram’.
The movie will be released in 5 different languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. It is also Vijay’s first film to be released in IMAX format in the UK. The actor unveiled the first poster look on 22nd June 2023 through social media.

Leo – Trailer
Leo’s trailer was released last week in multiple languages, and it has gained millions of views. The trailer begins with the beautiful scenes of Kashmir and later, Vijay is seen fighting a truckload of enemies and will be playing a cop. Leo will be a mass action film as in the trailer Vijay’s role is pitted over the feared serial killer who kills mercilessly on the streets. The trailer doesn’t seem to have a connection with the Lokesh Kanagaraj Universe (LCU) as the rumored theories suggested that Leo will be connected to ‘Kaithi’ and ‘Vikram’.
