Vivek Ramaswamy, the Indian-American entreprenuer running for president, has recently expressed alarm over an Israeli ground invasion of Gaza and warned that such an operation may be “disastrous” for both Israel and the US. He highlighted that before making such a military move, there must be defined objectives. He said these things when appearing on the Tucker Carlson show, where he expressed concern over the effects of an invasion without clear objectives.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned that an invasion is likely as the situation at the Gaza border deteriorated. According to Vivek Ramaswamy, a ground assault without specific goals could have negative effects.

Vivek Ramaswamy said this on the show “How to avoid World War III”

The Republican, who is 38 years old, spoke on the invasion of Gaza while appearing on a Tucker Carlson episode named “How to Avoid World War III.” He said he is worried that this is going to lead to a war which is not good for Israel, without a clear goal, and also it is not good for the United States,” Ramaswamy said Carlson when the two of them appeared alongside the well-known American presenter on X. What is your genuine objective, if we’re talking to Israel, is one of the things we need to know.

Without a specific goal, the impending ground assault of Gaza will be devastating for both Israel and the United States. Although it is blatantly and increasingly clear, no one else in the GOP has the guts to say it, according to Ramaswamy, who reaffirmed his points in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Prior to this, Ramaswamy emphasized the need of border defense and security, noting the most recent Hamas attack on Israel as a reminder of the necessity of beinvigilant in guarding borders. In order to address weaknesses in border defense, cybersecurity, missile defense, and space-based defenses, he urged a review of U.S. foreign policy priorities.

The Conflict

On 7th October 2023 Hamas , a terrorist organization attacked Israel killing a large number of people, in retaliation Israel announced a war against Hamas , the IDF vowed to kill the mastermind of the attack Yahya Sinwar. Both sides since then are fighting aggressively. Israel has carried out airstrikes in Gaza.

Between October 7 and October 12, Israel dropped 6,000 bombs on the area, which is densely populated. This amount is quite large. Both sides have suffered numerous deaths in the current confrontation between Israel and Hamas, which started on October 7. Israel has also sustained heavy losses, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, while thousands of Palestinians have been killed and injured. There are also stories of persons being abducted and transported to Gaza.

WHO is also trying to provide humanitarian aid in Gaza, recently Russia announced to send 27 tonnes humanitarian aid to Gaza, to help the victims and the injured.

U.S. President Joe Biden has requested further assistance for Israel in its conflict with Hamas in response to the crisis. He also stressed the significance of giving humanitarian help to Gaza’s Palestinian inhabitants who are in need of basic supplies.

The international community continues to closely follow developments and look for a way to end the conflict as the situation in the region is still difficult and the war is being fought aggressively from both the sides.
