Solar Eclipse - All you want to know

A solar eclipse takes place when the moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun during its orbit around the planet.The moon's position or alignment causes it to cast a shadow on Earth, momentarily darkening the sky during the day. 

What is  a Solar Eclipse?

Solar eclipses can be classified as total, partial, or annular depending on where they occur, how much space they cover, and how far the sun, moon, and earth are from one another.

FillOn April 8, 2024, eclipse moves across North America, , traveling through Mexico, across the United States from Texas to Maine, and out across Canada’s Atlantic coast.

The best places to witness the eclipse are outside of Austin and San Antonio.

31.6 million people can view the eclipse in 2024 without having to leave their city.

8 April 2024 Solar eclipse totality is expected to begin in Mexico at  11:07 a.m. PDT/1:07 EDT and endapproximately in Maine at approximately 1:30 p.m. PDT/3:30 p.m. EDT, according to NASA.

Spend some time appreciating the wonders of the cosmos and the beauty of nature, but be sure to wear appropriate protection. 

Use portable solar viewers or specifically made solar viewing glasses to shield your eyes from the sun's harmful rays. 

To safeguard both your gadget and your eyes, make sure you have a sun filter.

Don'ts 

Do not look at the sun directly. Even Staring at sun for few minutes can cause demage.

Do not use device without filler this can hurt both the device as well as eyes

Do not use DIY  CD, sun glasses or smoke glass as  they are not sufficient

Myths or Facts

Before and after a solar eclipse, take a bath. Eat two hours or more prior to an eclipse. Consume freshly cooked food that was made after the eclipse.  During an eclipse, avoid looking straight at the sun. When there is an eclipse, stay inside. When there's a solar eclipse, meditate
