The Squid  game released in 2021 took over K-drama enthusiasts like a storm and led to a massive wave of Korean culture globally. It’s a thriller series by Hwang Dong Hyuk. The story is set against the backdrop of an economically weaker section who, desperate to survive, participate in a cute series of children’s games for a chance to win a massive cash prize. But the deadly twist is that the losing participants were shot dead on the spot, which makes survival even more difficult with an unexpected revelation of the mastermind at the end of the series.

Wi Ha Joon portrays Hwang Jun Ho,  who is a detective who goes on a search to look for his lost brother. He transforms into one of the masked men who manages the operations of the game for his search.
