The victim’s mother was waving her back from the house without thinking that this was the last time she was seeing her off.On their way to school, Govind tried to molest the girl child to which she acted repulsively. In the heat of the movement the Principal grabbed the victim till she became unconscious and still. The body of the child was locked up in the car for almost the whole day.

First Hospitals and now Schools as well are also not a safe place for a female. Today women in this country are not safe anywhere and at any given point of time. After the kolkata rape case, schools and universities came up with self defence training for woman but what about a minor who was just 6 years old, how can a child fight against the sexual assault by a man?

The official authorities are lacking at providing safety for females who cover the majority part of the country’s population. We all are very much aware that on a daily basis, we came up with the news of molestation and sexual abuse. While rape should never be taken lightly, it’s concerning to note that it has become normalized among some offenders. It’s time to make the punishment for rapists much harsher, so that it discourages anyone from committing such a heinous crime.
