Mitch Starc has now become the fourth Australian to take 350 wickets at home. The veteran has been a phenomenal bowler with Pink ball, he has now 72 wickets in 17.81. Although against India there has been some grappling as before this match he had only 51 wickets and maximum of a 5 wickets haul but today even that stat was surpassed.

Starc’s first delivery swung from the leg stump and settled directly into the wickets. Jaiswal got dismissed on a zero on his second BGT match after his fabulous innings in Perth 10 days back.

Fans call it a ‘revenge’ by Starc as he was sledged by the upcoming Indian star batsman and was in discussions were he was termed as finished legacy.

Standing ovation in Adelaide from fans after a legendary spell – 6/48 has been the best-ever bowling figure for Mitch in Test Cricket. In the Day-Night test also Starc is the highest wicket taker with 71 wickets. “ It was all Mitchell Starc early, while Nathan McSweeney found his feet later on day one. “ via cricket.com.au on X . The first day was filled with a lot of drama as well as serious moments and the Aussies managed to set the bar high through extraordinary bowling first and then momentous batting.

Can India respond wisely ?

ESPNcricinfo

In the last test in Perth even after a setback in the initial phase, team India managed to get a win with the help of a brilliant bowling side, especially Bumrah. The Adelaide match was previously anticipated to be even more competitive and hardened for India as Australia has a quality past record in this ground.

Looking at the history of all the matches that have been played there, the teams batting first have mostly won. The Indian team already had a plan of batting first and they got what they wanted. The conditions in the Adelaide oval become appropriate for batting after the balls swing less after a certain amount of time. Harsha Bhogle via Cricbuzz said “ The amount of swing surprised me especially Starc and the Pink ball is one of the strongest cricketing marriages “

When asked about the opening batting situation he added “ If you’re opening batter in the team, you sign up for every situation. “

It is definitely difficult to bat in the second innings and India would definitely take advantage of it, India will just have to get an early wicket to put a mild pressure on the batting team. If wickets are not taken then they will have to again wait for a long time period to start creating pressure again. Consistent quality bowling is the only key for India now.
